EVents
Tate Society members uphold the three pillars of scholarship, leadership, and service.
Week of Service
One of Tate Society’s longest standing traditions, junior members of the organization select five campus and community partners to support and engage with for a week in the Spring semester. Previous service events have included: volunteer sessions at Thomas Lay After School program, work day at UGArden, menstrual product drive for Period Project, and card-writing for Project Safe.
Girl Scout Workshop
Recognizing the importance of empowering young women to forge their own path, the Tate Society held its inaugural Girl Scout Workshop in the spring of 2024, working with local Girl Scout troops in the area. The Workshop aimed to enhance the Scout’s problem-solving skills, public speaking, and overall confidence in their roles–all while providing a fun and unforgettable experience.
Dean Tate Birthday Celebration
Every year, Tate Society celebrates Dean William Tate’s birthday. On or around September 21, our organization tables at the Tate Student Plaza with a birthday cake, so the student body can join us in this exciting celebration.
